At ChakChuk Art, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. This Refund and Returns Policy explains your rights and our obligations regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds for both our digital products (PDF crochet patterns) and physical products (handmade crochet items).
This policy applies to all purchases made through chakchuk.art. Please read it carefully before placing your order.
PART A — DIGITAL PRODUCTS (PDF Crochet Patterns)
A1. Nature of Digital Products
All crochet patterns sold on our website are digital downloads in PDF format. After your payment is confirmed, the pattern is available for instant download — no physical item is shipped for digital pattern purchases.
A2. Refund Policy for Digital Products — All Sales Are Final
Due to the instant and irreversible nature of digital delivery, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable once the pattern has been downloaded or the download link has been accessed.
Because a digital file cannot be “returned” after delivery, and we cannot verify whether a file has been copied, saved, or printed, we uphold a strict no-refund policy for digital products under normal circumstances.
We strongly encourage you to read the full product description, review the skill level, materials list, finished size, and product images carefully before completing your purchase.
A3. Exceptions — When We Will Issue a Refund for Digital Products
We will gladly review your case and offer a full refund in the following situations:
Duplicate Purchase: If you accidentally purchased the same pattern twice, contact us within 7 days of the second purchase with your order number(s). We will verify and issue a full refund for the duplicate.
Corrupted or Defective File: If the PDF file you received is corrupted, unreadable, incomplete, or will not open, contact us within 14 days of purchase. We will first attempt to resolve the issue by sending a replacement file. If we are unable to provide a working file, we will issue a full refund.
Non-Delivery: If you completed your purchase but never received your download link or confirmation email, contact us within 14 days. We will verify your order and either resend the download link or issue a full refund.
Significant Pattern Errors: If you discover a significant error in the pattern that prevents you from completing the project as described (e.g., missing sections, incorrect stitch counts that fundamentally alter the design), contact us within 30 days with a detailed description. We will either provide a corrected version or issue a full refund.
A4. Refunds Will NOT Be Granted for Digital Products In These Cases
We are unable to offer refunds for digital products in the following situations: change of mind after purchase, skill level mismatch, dissatisfaction with the finished crocheted result, failure to read the product description before purchasing, inability to obtain the required yarn or materials, inability to download the file due to issues with your own device or internet connection (provided our download link is functioning correctly), or free/promotional patterns.
PART B — PHYSICAL PRODUCTS (Handmade Crochet Items)
B1. Our Commitment
We take great pride in every handmade crochet item we create. Each physical product is crafted with care and inspected before shipping. If you are not satisfied with your physical product, we are here to help.
B2. Order Processing Time
All physical product orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days after payment confirmation. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US public holidays.
You will receive an order confirmation email when your order is placed, and a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.
During peak seasons (holidays, promotional events), processing times may be slightly longer. If a significant delay is expected, we will notify you via email.
B3. Shipping & Delivery Time
After processing, estimated delivery time is 5 to 10 business days, depending on your location and the shipping method selected.
Total estimated delivery time (from order placement to arrival) is 6 to 13 business days under normal circumstances.
Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control, including carrier delays, customs processing (for international orders), weather events, or other unforeseen circumstances. ChakChuk Art is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier after the package has been dispatched.
B4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, the weight and dimensions of the package, and the shipping method selected. Any applicable shipping costs will be displayed before you confirm your order.
B5. Returns Policy for Physical Products
We accept returns on physical products within 30 days from the date the item is delivered to you.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
a) In its original condition — unused, unwashed, unaltered, and free from odors, pet hair, or stains.
b) In its original packaging (if applicable).
c) Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase.
Items that are NOT eligible for return: Custom or personalized orders, items that have been used, washed, altered, or damaged by the customer, and items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” in the product listing.
B6. Return Process — How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Email us at [email protected] with the subject line: “Return Request — Order #[your order number]”
Step 2: Include the following information:
- Your full name
- Order number
- Email address used at checkout
- The item(s) you wish to return
- Reason for the return
- Photos of the item (if applicable — especially for damaged or defective items)
Step 3: We will review your request and respond within 2 business days with return instructions, including the return shipping address and any further steps.
Step 4: Ship the item back to us using a trackable shipping method. We recommend keeping your shipping receipt and tracking number until the return is fully processed.
Step 5: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund within 3 business days of receiving the item.
B7. Return Shipping Costs
If the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective product, item significantly not as described): We will cover the return shipping costs or provide a prepaid return label.
If the return is for any other reason (change of mind, wrong size selected, etc.): The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Original shipping fees paid at checkout are non-refundable.
B8. Refund Policy for Physical Products
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved: Your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take an additional billing cycle for the refund to appear on your statement.
Refund amount: Refunds will be issued for the product purchase price. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, or significantly not as described).
Partial refunds may be granted in cases where the item is returned in a condition that is not in its original state but is still acceptable for return (e.g., opened packaging but item unused).
B9. Exchanges for Physical Products
We accept exchanges within 30 days from the date of delivery. If you received a damaged or defective item or the wrong product, we will send you a replacement at no additional cost.
For exchanges due to other reasons (different color preference, etc.), please initiate a return following the process in Section B6 and place a new order for the desired item.
To request an exchange, email [email protected] with the subject line: “Exchange Request — Order #[your order number]” and include the same details listed in Section B6.
B10. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items
If you receive a physical product that is damaged during shipping, defective, or not the item you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at [email protected] with:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos showing the damage, defect, or wrong item received
We will resolve the issue by offering you the choice of a full refund, a replacement item, or store credit — at no additional cost to you, including return shipping.
B11. Lost or Missing Packages
If your package has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, please take the following steps:
1. Check your tracking information for the latest status update. 2. Contact the shipping carrier directly for delivery inquiries. 3. Check with neighbors or household members who may have accepted the package. 4. Contact your local post office or delivery facility.
If the package is confirmed lost by the carrier, contact us at [email protected] with your order number and tracking details. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and offer you a replacement or full refund.
B12. Late or Missing Refunds
If you’ve been approved for a refund and haven’t received it yet:
1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again. 2. Contact your credit card company — it may take time for the refund to be officially posted. 3. Contact your bank — there is often a processing time before a refund is posted. 4. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate.
PART C — GENERAL PROVISIONS (Applies to All Products)
C1. Store Credit
In cases where a refund is not applicable but we determine that a gesture of goodwill is appropriate, we may offer store credit for use on a future purchase at chakchuk.art. Store credit is issued at our sole discretion, is non-transferable, has no cash value, and does not expire unless otherwise stated.
C2. Cancellation of Orders
Digital products: Because digital downloads are delivered instantly, orders cannot be canceled once the purchase is complete and the download link has been generated.
Physical products: If you wish to cancel an order for a physical product, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected]. If the order has not yet been shipped, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund. If the order has already been shipped, you will need to follow the return process in Section B6 once the item is delivered.
C3. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We kindly ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving any issue fairly and promptly.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your account. Fraudulent chargebacks may be contested and reported to the relevant payment processor.
C4. Pattern Updates & Corrections
If an error is discovered in any digital pattern after publication, we will update the file and make the corrected version available to all customers who purchased the original at no additional cost.
C5. Seasonal Return Window Extension
During holiday seasons (November 1 through December 31), we extend the return window for physical products to 45 days from the date of delivery. All other return conditions remain the same.

By completing a purchase on chakchuk.art, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund and Returns Policy. This policy is part of and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
